Atlantis: The Lost Empire (PS1) - i don't have a nose Video Review!

Much like the eponymous lost continent, this movie tie-in seems to have been long-forgotten. As usual, I indeed to delve deep - deeper than the Atlantic Ocean itself - to answer the question: did this game deserve to be submerged in a sea of obscurity?

The short answer is no, but it's certainly not without its problems. As expected, the game suffers from the usual hindrances - problematic stealth sections and awkward combat being the two major complaints. Pleasantly, the female characters in this game get ample screen time, and their controls and abilities are arguably more impressive than their male counterparts'. We'll just overlook their inability to climb ladders...

Thanks to Pilli for the request! I hope I did the game justice.

Chicken Run (PS1) - i don't have a nose Video Review!

After 4 long, long months, a new review episode has finally hatched! This time, I'm taking a look at Chicken Run for the PS1 - a child-oriented stealth game released in accordance with the Aardman animation of the same name. Is the game as 'eggs-cellent' as its film counterpart?

Surprisingly, this game controls rather well. For the most part, you control Ginger, and occasionally switch to Rocky (very obviously not voiced by Mel Gibson), as well as the rats Nick and Fetcher, with the main objective to find and retrieve a number of items dotted around the farm and Tweedy household for use in Ginger's sometimes insane escape plans. I tell you, this crazy chicken is gonna see us all turned into pies long before the short-sighted Mrs Tweedy gets her hands on us.

Please watch to the end of the video for an extra special message! My friends and I are partaking in an inflatable obstacle course challenge for Children In Need and Fight for Sight. Follow the links below if you wish to donate. Thanks so much, everyone. It's good to be back!
